Electricity and Basic Electronics
A great introductory class for anyone interested in learning the fundamental theory of electricity and basic electronics.  Topics include voltage, current, resistance, capacitance and inductance theory.  Learn the application of Ohm’s law and Kirchhoff’s law and the theoretical operation of semiconductors, fundamental electronic circuits and test equipment. This course is a prerequisite for Introduction to PV Technology. 
Textbook and basic pocket calculator required.

National Electric Code
Working in the Electrical Trades?  Preparing for the Westchester County Electrician’s Licensing test?  Understanding the National Electric Code is the key to success.  This course will teach you to use the National Electric Code to do the job right.  Learn and discuss applying various aspects of the code to local, commercial and residential wiring.  Review the main topics covered in the test:  Information on test format, items to bring to the test and test taking strategy are reviewed.  This is a course not only for electricians planning to take the licensing test but for anyone in the electrical trades.  Textbooks required.

National Electric Code Advanced Exam Prep        NEW COURSE!
Pick up your preparation for the electricians licensing exam where the National Electric Code course ended.  Work with the NEC 2005 edition, currently used by New York State, and explore Chapter's 4 through 9 with actual exam questions for a study guide.  Knowledge of Chapters 1 through 3 required.  PRE:  National Electric Code.  Textbook required.
